Lara Logan
Lara Logan, born 29 March 1971 is a South African radio and television journalist and war correspondent. She was a correspondent for CBS News between 2002 and 2018.60 Minutes executive producer Jeff Fager called her factually incorrect and politcally slanted story about the 2012 Benghazi attack "the most regrettable mistake of my 10 years of watching." She was a member of Sinclair Broadcast Group (a conservative media group) in the year 2019. In January of 2020, she joined Fox Nation, a subscription streaming service run by Fox News. She said she was "dumpedby the company in March 2022. Logan did her schooling as a reporter at the Sunday Tribune, Durban (1988-1989) and then the Daily News (1990-1992). In 1992, she was a senior producer for Reuters Television Africa. After four years, she decided to venture into freelance journalism. She was appointed as an editor/reporter, reporter and editor/producer at Fox/SKY, Fox/SKY and CBS News, ABC News (in London), NBC and the European Broadcasting Union. She was a reporter for CNN covering events like the 1998 United States embassy bombings in Nairobi and Tanzania, the conflict in Northern Ireland, and the Kosovo war.
